QSAC Stadium Redevelopment

Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC) is being repositioned as a core Brisbane 2032 Olympic venue. As Lead Sports Architect at Buchan, Jake Martin led the strategic brief development for the athletics campus redevelopment, including capacity analysis, federation compliance planning (World Athletics), community use integration, and multi-tenant coordination.

The project required careful balancing of Olympic legacy requirements against ongoing community and state-level athletics operations, with significant stakeholder management across Athletics Australia, World Athletics, and Brisbane 2032 delivery authorities.
