The Kuala Lumpur Sports City refurbishment upgraded Bukit Jalil National Stadium and its aquatics centre to IAAF and FIFA sanctioned competition standards ahead of the 2017 SEA Games.
Jake's responsibilities spanned both venues: coordinating basement-level player facilities in the main 85,000-seat stadium's western stand, developing a new premium hospitality level, and leading design, services coordination and full documentation for the aquatics centre refurbishment — including all VIP facilities, spectator amenities, competition area, and main entrance façade package. He also reconstructed the BIM from point cloud survey data in the absence of as-constructed drawings.
